Chrome Web Store is the easy route and updates itself. The zip is the fallback if the store listing is ever unavailable: unzip it, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and pick the unzipped folder. Then open pro.nfl.com/film/plays and click the gold ALL-22 tab on the right edge. The first run downloads a 15 MB play index from GitHub. After that it fetches only the weeks that changed, about 1 MB each, on its own.

What it does

Every nflverse play-by-play column is a filter: tacklers, pressures, EPA, CPOE, personnel, play action, motion, coverage, drops, throwaways. Pick a player and a role ("Will Anderson, sacks"), or build any combination of column filters, and the list of matching plays appears instantly. Click one and the Sideline and Endzone angles play in a side panel, with frame stepping, speed control, and keyboard shortcuts.

Search runs in your browser against a SQLite index built from nflverse (CC BY 4.0) with FTN charting. Nothing about what you search leaves your machine.

Tip jar

The extension is free and stays free. If it saved you time and you want to say thanks:

What a tip is, and isn't. A tip is thanks for work that has already been done. It is not a purchase, a licence, or a subscription; nothing is owed in return, and tips are not refunded. If NFL Pro changes and the extension stops working, this page will say so and the tip button comes down the same day. Please read the box at the top of this page before tipping.

Tips go through Ko-fi. If the form doesn't load, tip there directly.

Privacy

The extension collects nothing and sends nothing to its author. It stores a small game-ID map and your UI preferences in Chrome's local extension storage, caches the play index in your browser, and makes requests only to GitHub (for the index) and to NFL Pro (for the clips you click, using your own session).
